Visiting Budapest is not complete without bathing in one of its famous thermal spring spas. Since its inception in 1918, this bath house is one of the most prestigious thermal baths in Europe. It's famous for its main hall with gallery and glass roof, built in the Art Nouveau style, and the sparkling baths and open air pool with artificial waves. Men and woman are separated in the thermal sections and massage.
We came here today so that mom could wash her famous long hair! This is a process, as it takes ages to dry. On arrival a masseuse shows you your cabin and after your thermal bath (22-38 degrees C) you can spend time in the Finnish or Infra red sauna, or the steam cabin. An aromatherapy massage is included in the ticket price.
We enter and the majestic domes hang over the healing waters. Here is all shapes and sizes, and I feel at home where the lusciousness of life is comfortably on display! No skinny legs and all here, but more the mothers and their big mammas!
We took the tram home and now we are passed out after our spa day! En Oupa Van se dogter is nou silwerskoon en sy voel sommer stukke beter!
